The Minnesota Alliance of Peacemakers (MAP) passed a Resolution at its Delegate Council meeting on October 9, 2012, urging a NO VOTE on BOTH proposed (Voter Suppression and Marriage Restriction) amendments to the Minnesota State Constitution.
THE RESOLUTION:
"The Minnesota Alliance of Peacemakers urges Minnesota voters to VOTE NO on BOTH proposed (Voter Suppression and Marriage Restriction) constitutional amendments. Minnesota's constitution historically protects and expands citizen rights. Both of the proposed amendments represent attempts to produce partisan gains at the expense of citizen participation and rights."
75 Minnesota peace and justice organizations constitute the membership of the Minnesota Alliance of Peacemakers. Its membership base thus represents many thousands of concerned citizens who seek to make our world a better place in which to live.
