Brandworkers International: Empowering retail and food employees with social change tools to win justice on the job and in the community.
Brandworkers is a New York-based not-for-profit organization powered by a global network of committed individuals, advocates, lawyers, and organizers who believe in holding corporations accountable to workers and communities.
Brandworkers connects, trains, and mobilizes retail and food employees to assert their rights and to make their voices heard in the public arena. We're winning recognition for the value of retail and food workers in society and building a movement for brand justice.
The video on this page features one of Brandworkers campaigns: Rev. Billy, Pastor Jeff Mansfield and workers protest of celebrity chef and restaurant owner Terrance Brennan at the New York City Wine & Food Festival. Brennan's Artisanal Bistro lied in writing by stating that it was no longer serving seafood processed by the Wild Edibles sweatshop when it in fact it did.
