Bailout Main Street seeks to bring about a tax payers revolt in response to a proposed $700 billion bailout of Wall Street proposed Sept 2008 by encouraging action and publishing alternative solutions to the government's plan.

"An email that began as a rallying cry from a lone journalist to an influential circle of friends to protest the U.S. government bailout of Wall Street has ignited a national day of street protests. Some demonstrators plan to dump their rubbish in front of the bronze bull sculpture near Wall Street in downtown Manhattan Thursday." - wired magazine article

Building on this rallying cry and the success of the resulting protests, this site intends to help keep the pressure on, by collecting information and amplifying calls to action.
