The International Relations Center was founded in 1979 with the goal of making the United States a more responsible member of the international community. As part of the current transition, the Foreign Policy In Focus program, previously a joint project between the IRC and the Institute for Policy Studies, will become the sole responsibility of IPS on June 1.
